Rogers Centre

Right next to the CN Tower alongside Lake Ontario, the multi-purpose stadium was originally named SkyDome and was opened in 1989. It was renamed after it was acquired by Rogers Communications also known to have purchased the Toronto Blue Jays (in 2005).The stadium is home to the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League as well as the Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball.
What else happens here other than regular games? You can spot monster truck shows here among many other events such as concerts, conventions and trade shows.

The first stadium of its kind, the Rogers Centre also has a hotel attached to it which has about 348 rooms! In fact, there are about 70 rooms overlooking the stadium. It is also known as the first stadium with a retractable power-driven roof. The 2015 Pan American Games is scheduled to hold its opening and closing ceremonies here.
